CODING PROJECTS // Last year I enrolled in a 'Coding for Journalism' class - it completely changed my perspective on technology and gave me a strong foundation in HTML, CSS and JavaScript. This page features some of my projects from that class. I also love designing websites and other front end visuals; some of those projects can be found here and here. Check 'em out! 'BEST BITES IN ATHENS, GA' WEBSITE

This was my final project for the'Coding for Journalism' course - we were tasked with creating a website for an article we had written. The article I chose was about the best summer food in Athens, which can be found here. Our website had to include the following: an image slideshow, two quizzes with feedback, a survey or form with feedback and additional text and information. To see the website in action for yourself, visit athensbites.f17.gradycoding.com (mobile friendly!), or scroll below for some screenshots and explanations.

RESTING ENERGY EXPENDITURE CALCULATOR

For this assignment, we had to make a calculator using an equation of our choice, as well as code personal user feedback based on numerical inputs. I chose to calculate resting energy expenditure.

SUSTAINABLE EATING QUIZ WITH USER FEEDBACK

The project below is a sustainable eating quiz I made. Users input information about their diet and where they get their food. Then, using an equation I coded, it gives feedback and advice based on the user's score.

PIE, OH MY! SUBSCRIPTION SIGNUP AND FEEDBACK FORM

This project involved creating a form for users to submit qualitative information (like you would for a subscription) and then receive a personalized message. I did mine about pie, because, well, who doesn't love pie?

GAME OF THRONES M*A*S*H RANDOMIZER

This assignment was a simple randomizer with multiple outcomes for users to receive. Naturally, I made a Game of Thrones MASH so users could envision what their life might be like in Westeros.
