EDUCATION AND
INCARCERATION
The correlation between education and incarceration rates is something I learned a lot about while working at the Office of Governor Deal (it is an issue near and dear to the Governor). A child’s ability to read on-level by the third grade is shown to directly affect that child’s chance of graduating, and a child who doesn’t graduate has an exponentially higher chanced of incarceration than one who does.
THE STATE OF SEXUAL EDUCATION IN THE US
Education is one of those things that really makes or breaks a country, and sexual education in the United States is a bit of a break for us. I read an article a few years back about how few states actually require sex-ed to be medically accurate. Those statistics really stuck with me over the years and really do seem to explain some of the toxic cultural norms in our society today. Check out the graphic to learn more.
If you can’t already tell, I’m really passionate about education; I think its one of those things that’s at the root of most of the world’s problems, particularly in the United States, where education spending takes a back seat to other issues. For this infographic, I wanted to look at literacy rates in a developing country, particularly among the female population. You need both halves of a population to thrive and succeed as a country!

ONLINE BUSINESS REPORT AND INVESTMENT RECOMMENDATION
This was a financial analysis and visualization project I created with a team for a ‘Managing News Organizations' course. The online business report consists of a company overview, audience and customers analysis, key issues, financial performance review and an investment recommendation. We spent a couple weeks gathering the data, then worked together to translate it into a more readable and user-friendly format. PINEWOODS SEED LIBRARY SURVEY STATISTICS AND ANALYSIS
This is actually the first data visualization project I ever created! I started by making and distributing a survey among the Pinewoods community, then I organized and analyzed the data and created a graphic suited for each category. This visual was referenced throughout the development of the seed library, specifically for brainstorming how to promote the project and selecting seeds for it.
